In the ever growing beauty industry we witness the launch of several celebrity lines, from the Rihana’s, the Kardashian’s just to name a few. But when it comes to men’s grooming, us guys have to look far and through a few brands to find what works best for us. Either we are looking for that perfect razor or pre-shave solution, we want to make sure we are groomed right.
And thus the void that up and coming to grooming brand Groomsmen Beard is looking to fill, beard care with a great scent. Founder Clemente Martinez III noticed that there was something missing when it comes to beard grooming, he wanted products that were all-natural and that could give him the glowing shine he wanted. Unable to find such a product, he set out to create his own line of men’s grooming products that would meet his expectations and the needs of his customers.
Tell me about your team, who helped you get your dream off the ground running?
Honestly, my team is me I own a design CM3 Enterprises www.cm3ent.com company as well so I have them bring product designs to life.
What made you want to get into the grooming industry?
Pure necessity I couldn’t find any beard products that serve my needs. All my products all have unique cologne type smells to not only give your beard the best look but the best smell. As the saying goes if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.
What was an obstacle that you came across in the process of building your line?
I wouldn’t call it an obstacle I call it trying to perfect the scents and ingredients to separate my products compared to other products on the market. And make sure that my products meet the needs of the consumers.
How did you overcome that obstacle?
I infused my passion and personality into all products. I also conducted focus groups with my target audience and took into consideration their feedback. I incorporated women in the process to see what scents smelled the best.
Describe some essentials some guys need to pull off the great beard look:
A confident man who takes pride in his outer appearance and also he must be willing to invest time, money and energy in Grooming his look. He has to be dedicated to following a routine that consist of washing, conditioned and applying the right beard balm and oil to keep a soft shiny beard.
Where do you see your brand in the next 5 years?
In the next five years, I see my brand as a best seller on AMAZON, on major retailer store such as Walmart, Target and major beauty supply chains like Sally’s etc.
As we close out what some advice for some that may be trying to break into your industry?
Do your diligent research on your market, demographics, and products to understand your consumer. Have a clear and concise business plan and mission statement. Make sure in any business you have a passion and connection in which will ultimately reflect in your product.
